Construction and strata management disputes

Overview

Construction law is a complex area as it often involves very strict time bars. Missing the due date for even one stage in construction may have serious consequences and result in huge losses. Our lawyers are experienced in giving advice on issues arising under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, in particular payment claims, payment schedules, adjudication applications and adjudication responses. We are also able to give advice on disputes arising under the Strata Schemes Management Act, in particular owners' corporation's duty to repair and maintain properties, meeting procedures of owners' corporation and of strata committees. Further, we also assist clients involved in disputes arising from the Home Building Act where a builder has breached the statutory warranties.
